In my still life paintings I love to bring together patterns, shapes, vessels, stems and colours with a mid century modern flavour.
As well as it being a style that I love it is a chance to be more bold in my work, more blocky colour and harsh lines. I particularly enjoy the challenge of the composition, cramming in as much as I can into a confined space while still creating a visual flow and pleasing the eye.
